Ciao!

Atavica is a 17-hectare biological farm located in the Tuscan Maremma. We produce low-intervention organic wines and organic olive oil. This area was once home to the ancient Etruscans, a people who the more we learn about, the more we love. We hope our natural approach to the stewardship of this land is making them smile.  

We’re four friends who met in Dublin and moved to Italy around 2020. After a few years in northern Tuscany helping a friend make good ol’ fashioned farmer’s wine, we realized we all shared the dream: to make natural wine and have a hand in what we drink.

The search for a home for this project was on. Serendipitously, news of a farm for sale hit our ears at a party one night, and the rest is history. Or more accurately, it's the present, and it's a lot of hard work. But we're learning a ton, and we've magically encountered the best people along the way who have become an integral part of the day-to-day operations. 

We balance the hard work with good wine, frequent company, and very abundant feasts.
